When I stop and think, “why do I work for N Vision,” I would have to say, at least for me, it’s a place where dreams come true. To be able to wake up in the morning with the thought that I may be able to help someone, or a group of people, develop a bit more of their true potential, well that’s absolutely inspiring and energizing for me.

During my 25 years of professional experience I’ve had my share of line management responsibilities; however, most of my time has been in learning and development. I’ve coached, consulted and worked as a trainer in a number of learning fields, communication, sales, intercultural management and group/team dynamics. Now, at the age of 50, with all of these collective experiences, I personally find that leadership development is most exciting and interesting, and brings the most value of people and the organizations they work for. I think it’s because to truly be an effective leader, you have to produce tangible results, as well as engage with people around you in an authentic, respectful and focused way. This is a fascinating process that happens in nearly every moment of every day. This “leadership practice” is one where all of us can develop in some way, and in doing so, make our environment, whether it be at home, with clients, with interesting products or services, a better place to be.
